A touch of luxury, a special place to stay and a warm welcome awaits you at ‘Church on Church Rd’. Our one-hundred year old country church has been beautifully restored and extended to offer you a relaxing and comfortable stay.

‘Church on Church Rd’ is located in the heart of the countryside – yet just a few minutes from the picturesque township of Cambridge, and just a few more from the city of Hamilton, New Zealands fourth largest city.

Your accommodation is one of two suites. ‘The Chapel’ or ‘The Vestry’. Both suites are spacious and well-appointed with an ensuite, your own lounge area and separate private access - so that you come and go as you please.

The hardest decision you may have to make is choosing from our 'simply divine' breakfast menu, served on the deck, the dining room or breakfast bar - all enjoying panoramic views of the Waikato countryside.

In summer, relax on an evening and enjoy a glass of wine sitting on the expansive deck or your own private garden courtyard, full of native trees and fernery. On a winter's night you can join your hosts for in the lounge, which was once the church hall, and soak in the warmth of a roaring open fire and the company of your hosts.

We offer the best of both worlds...generous hospitality, privacy and seclusion and a 'touch of luxury' in your own beautifully appointed suite.

Set out and explore all the region has to offer, enjoy the secluded privacy of your own suite or courtyard, or join us on the deck for a glass of wine and soak in the views of the beautiful Waikato countryside.

Accommodation - 'The Chapel'
The Chapel is the original part of the restored church, which has a rich 100 years of history. It features the warmth of beautiful polished matai floors and the beautiful original stained glass windows. This spacious and well-appointed suite has its own private access, so that you are able to come and go as you please.

It features a private garden courtyard that you can sit in and relax in and enjoy the peace and seclusion. This comfortable and tastefully decorated suite features include your own private lounge area, air conditioned comfort, a queen sized bed, ensuite, tea and coffee making facilities, a TV and DVD player. Tariff includes a simply divine cooked or continental breakfast.

Accommodation - 'The Vestry'
This recently built suite sits majestically with views over the beautiful rolling pastures of the Waikato countryside. Built in the character of the original church, it features the same luxury appointment and character, with architecturally designed lines and stained glass windows.

The Vestry is spacious and well-appointed with it's own ensuite, a queen sized bed, your own private lounge and outdoor living areas, TV, DVD player and air conditioned comfort. It also features separate private access, so that you can come and go as you please, as well as a kitchenette - which offers you the option of being fully self-contained. Available as either self-catering, which includes cereals and toast supplied or with a divine full cooked breakfast.

Guest Facilities
We also have available for your use internet facilities, BBQ area and a large deck area for you to enjoy the tranquil countryside.

In addition to the in-room facilities we provide:-

   • Common areas - your own private courtyard or the outdoor deck area
   • Travel advice - we are happy to provide directions or suggest places to see
   • Information leaflets - on some of the attractions and events on in the area
   • Internet access - so that you can check your e-mails while you are away
